San Cesario di Lecce is a town in the province of Lecce, in the south of Italy. Rich in monuments, churches, palaces, villas and farmhouses of historical and artistic interest, the town presents also a very interesting industrial archaeology site: the ‘Distillery Nicola De Giorgi’, a former Distillery farm, now become an active centre of cultural activities.
An architectural, historical, social heritage site of great value, which condenses the many human, political, sentimental stories, which overlapped and which, with their narrations, have allowed the birth and spread of real “legends” and founding myths of the community of San Cesario from the earliest years of the 1900s.
