Genius Loci Final Performance

THE WIND OF GENIUS LOCI

The final event of Genius Loci collects the artistic experiences of actors, musicians, writers who have worked in the last 18 months in Italy, Spain, Romania, Greece and France. The fil rouge of this event is the multiple poetic tradition linked to the places and to the tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
The figure of Medea, woman, sorceress and stranger, in her journey across the Mediterranean narrated in the Argonautics, represented a further opportunity to put the female myth at the center.
The young dancers of the Institute of Dance Alicia Alonso of the University of Madrid ‘Rey Juan Carlos’, the  actresses and actors of the State Theater of Constanta in Romania, the actresses and actors of Astragali Teatro in Italy, the musicians and actors of Teatro tsi Zakynthos in Greece will intertwine songs, poetic texts and theatrical actions.
They will form a magnificent kaleidoscope with the most overwhelming sounds of Mediterranean songs. Medea will lead us by the hand in the irresistible resistance of love.
The four groups of artists have worked remotely (after a first phase in presence a year ago in Greece on the island of Zakynthos, before the lockdown), under the coordination of the four artistic partners of the project and the general artistic direction of Fabio Tolledi (Astragali Teatro).
